Just watched the videos, had to mute out the sound and music because I'm at work, but they were awesome. The run to Mineral Spring was fantastic, and I loved the switch to the Xmas hat - LOL. I'll need to remember the tip about keeping out of their aggro bubble to avoid maelstroms.

I use 13 healing to get a +4 mending.

questions-- people don't bring blessd aura cuz they need holy veil to stop the guiles removing-- couldn't you just cast blessd aura to be taken away instead of holy veil?... i know blessd aura costs more E, but then, u cast Blessd aura & hb, ps, hb & ps would last alot longer---, then recast aura so it's on top & run in.. would that work? alot of the time running by tundras i get interrupted using ps or hb, would this be reduced if ur enchants lasted longer?
P.S. i love the build, i am just a starter at the solo monk thing but managed to make it to the cave on the first time. However, 2 aviceran wises & 2 guiles spawns within the first group of imps... is that a normal spawn... if so, could anyone help me learn to cope with it?-- i couldn't aggro just the avicerans & tried about 3 times with a long bow.
Edited: managed to complete my first run, did a couple more right after, now i see the randomness of spawns and stuff... i got my IDS Thanx for the great build, i'll try elektras with switching in blessd aura next...

oh i did over many runs and guillies for me normal use deadly sawrm and then use stripe... so only need prot, and HB thats all save the holy veil for bless aura =D

I have a question, what exactly is the weapons you use and why? Are they there for occasional damage - addrenaline for rush - or are they there for upgrades - enchantments last X% longer or Recharge time or Energy Boost - I tried to watch what the upgrade of your Fiery Dragon Sword was but couldn't focus...got distracted by the Muppets
*EDIT* also, where exactly is this run to and from? Can someone post a map I'd be greatly appreciated. And the current going price for IDS is 20k-25k

Leave Granite Citadel to Tasca's Demise, fight/run through armies of summit drawves to Mineral Spring. Don't have a map for this as this is pretty straight forward journey.
In Mineral Springs, starting from bottom left of map, make your way north east - meeting Avicaras, Tundra Giants and pinecones. Better to go counter clockwise to activate a Res Shrine - it's nearer to the cave than the one at the portal of Mineral Spring. Outside and inside of the cave, there are loads of ice imps and maybe a siege golem and a mountain troll. Kill them and see if the ice imps give you an IDS.
In the back of the cave, there'll be an Ice beast, and Azure Shadows popping out of the ground. This leads to the seer whom you give the Spectral Essence (from the dead Ice Beast) to infuse your armour.
Take Signet of Capture for elite skills as there are an Avicara boss for each profession in Mineral Springs.
On the map, the white circle marks the Imp/IDS cave. The yellow circle marks the Seer who can infuse your armour.

it's good when you're getting hammered and your sprint is running out... essentially with rush + balthazar's spirit you will always be able to keep running as long as you're getting hit.

So i got this build working and was able to get to the cave, I killed the first set of imps then was faced with this...
I wasn't able to get past them because they followed me all the way into the cave. Is this just a bad spawn or a nerf?

if you're careful, you can farm the imps while the avicara are attacking you. just remember to time protective spirit with the guile's strip enchantment (20sec recharge) so you have time to cover it.

ok my first try which im in the middle of right now, i made it to mineral spring and all the way to the cave. i died twice because i was backing up so the imps wouldnt use maelstorm, then they close in on me and use it. i died for the second time but i still have 16 health which is good.
EDIT: found out i was still too close =P
EDIT 2: are IDS only found in the literal cave or is it in the cave and out towards the seer too.

Very Great build! I use it for running!
Very good build. I use this to run to granite. I replaced SoJ with Spell Breaker and Sprint with Blessed Signet.
So my skills were:
Healing Breeze
Protective Spirit
Rush
Blessed sig
Spellbreaker
Holy Veil
Mending
Balthazars Spirit
My attributes are:
healing 13
smiting 10
protection 13
divine 13
or something like that
It works very well as long as you stack healing breeze over your protective spirit. I used it to run to Granite, but I'm pretty sure it can run to copperhammer and warcamp. Great build!
By the way, I have used this for farming but whenever i get to "The Ice Beast Boss I can't kill it. It stacks its walking hex with the walking hex of the imps and never allows me to move out of the imps malestorm. Is there a way to clear the whole cave with the ice beast at that one point? Have you done it?

i can't kill the ice beast... but sometimes i can manipulate the spawn of imps with a bow or something so i can kill them with SOJ regardless.

Interesting, but I'm not sure what you mean by maniplulate the spawn. You pull them back? Do you pull them away from the ice beast? The problem I have with that part is that both the ice beast and the imps have spells that walk you so its very hard to move out of Malestrom. Can you explain a little more please?
O' and how often do imps drop the Icy dragon swords?

I can kill off all the imps, azure shadows and everything, except the ice beast itself. I can manipulate it and run past it to get to the seer without it in aggro, but it just does not attack me fast enough for me to kill it on my own.
Any tips?
Also, I find getting out of Maelstrom not that important if you time your spells correctly. As soon as you're hit with Mind Freeze, quickly cast PS and HB, and with my 20% enchant sword HB almost lasts longer than their Maelstrom. PS lasts more than enough, so everytime I get hit with a Maelstrom I've got a full PS and HB going, and just slowly walk out of the Maelstrom. It helps if as you're walking you mash Rush, because you can have it constantly going so that as soon as Mind Freeze is off, you're bolted out of there, even just a few feet before it hits again, which is more than enough time to recover your PS and HB. I use this technique when running to Copperhammer from Granite. As long as you make sure to use your brief time out of Mind Freeze to run, then immediatey recast PS and HB, you're golden.
It takes a very unlucky timing of attacks from more than 10 imps to kill you if you time everything carefully .
